At least I'm not the only one who saw "Trojan" and thought "Condom" before "Virus"But I didn't think of butt sex.

@djlosch: That depends. How long do you think it'll be before this infects networks in any major federal agency, fortune 500 company, or even capital hill?I can understand why some folks modded you down, as your comment may seem a bit reactionary. But it's certainly not off-topic as we've seen an escalation of "super computer bug" stories, and subsequent widespread reactions, hitting the mainstream press since the mid 90's. Combine that kind of histeria, with this congress' track record (this year alone), and suddenly, the scenario you propose seems all too possible.Heck, we're just lucky that we're hearing about this now. Could you imainge what the mid-term scramble to legislate would be like if this managed to create some havok earlier this year?

I'm Very disappointed that they just found out that the bot's actually do this.If you look at source codes of URxBot (Specially Modified) and Agobot (Specially modified) (Specially modified = From groups, not just plain source.)You will see many countless times that this kind of attacking has already happened, some of the code is even back from the start of 2005 =/And like i said "Look" because this code is available to everyone which makes me even more disappointed.Ah blah, ill still stick with Sabayon or Ubuntu.-Zook

Yes, from the technological point of view this stuff is quite nifty. Unfortunately there's obviously more money to be made by spaming rather than going legit.

A better way to put it is, how do we put up with these people. The people who insist on running random binaries. Those silly linux/mac fanboys who think Windows is to blame are naive and inexperienced in dealing with security. The problem that needs to be solved is user education, if 0-day was our only concern, we'd be light years ahead of the current state of affairs.
