peaceengine.com — This blog entry is devoted to the memory and the honor of my father, who passed away one year ago last Friday. I shall toast his 93rd birthday which occurs this coming Sunday, January 25th. Please read my letter if you wish but be sure to view the pictures and read the newspaper clipping at the end, which begins my father?s story.

My Dad is 94, and my husband and I are primary caregivers. We have staff that watch him while we're away at our jobs, but the rest is up to us, including maintaining his home that he stills stay in and all that goes with that. This post really hit home with me. I'm at a pretty high emotional state these days, seeing Dad slowly slipping away before my eyes. For us, it's about keeping him happy and as comfortable as we can. It's hard to see a man I depended upon so greatly to revert back to a childhood state, though we're doing what we can in respect of his wishes to keep him out of the dreaded nursing home. Thank you for your beautiful tribute to your Dad.
