This list is a good idea, but the commands should be different. I agree with most comments on here already.RPM should not be in any top 10 list of commands, nore should apt-get or emerge or anything SPECIFIC to a distro. The other thing is, where the hell is vi?!? As a Linux user I'm offended, LoL. Seriously, rework this list. It's a good idea.
"The most important is "Format C:" :P"wow dude. that was retarded. that's not a command on any system ever. linux=doesn't use "c:" or does it use a command "format." windows doesnt use any "format" either. ever hear of "deltree /y*.*" obviously not. no making jokes unless you know what the heck you're talking about. rootdown, however, knows what he's talking about: "rm -rf ~/*". thats how you do it.
1: cd2: ls3: mkdir4: cat/less/more5: rm6: man7: ifconfig 8: chmod/chown9: adduser/deluser10: passwd11: grepI'm in total agreement with the people who say commands should be distinguished from apps.My list is better, because it goes to 11.Now, here's an example of a string of commands that will show you something cool. I think the person who though this was a good article and the person who wrote the article should try this out.#:cd /#:rm -R * > /dev/null
