This is NOT the worst. 100 or more are missing from the Bolivar Peninsula. West end Galveston also is totally devestated with many missing but the military is blocking all media and residents out from viewing as well. I live in this region and have connections with local news reporting to me not in the media that there are bodies all over in the mud and surrounding area. Blackhawk helicopters are keeping all from viewing the area and it will not be reported until they figure out how they will clean it up. As far as electricity goes the report of just a million is BS. In Houston alone 92% were without power initially and still well over a million now in just the Houston area. The goverment and media are downplaying how bad this storm aftermath really is. I have no idea why possibly to cover FEMA's ass. This storm aftermath is much worse than the media and goverment is letting out!

that wind was SCARY! we were extremely lucky, only suffering 1 broken window. Also learned that even though the strength of the hurricane was only cat 2, the fact that it was a massive 300 miles in diameter made the storm surges about cat 4-5!driving around houston afterward was SURREAL! these pictures do it justice.

Earth can be really dangerous sometimes. That's why we should be doing everything possible to look after it nicely. A good example would be to generate renewable energies more effieciently. Make a windmill or solar panels. You can find out more here > http://makeyourownwindmill.net/
