That custom URL the original poster created to modify the Google look produces a page that looks so God-damned ugly, it's a wonder that Google doesn't realise the damage this could do to their nice, clean, image. Sure, hardly anybody will go to Google via one of these links, but allowing people to make these changes might make people think that Google is having problems, was hacked, or is generally starting the slide toward junk status. I like my Google searches to be clean, thanks. Not with some moron's dumb choice of colours!
Sorry about that, I admit it was rather nasty but I didn't realize it at the time. Its cleaned up now hopefully.By the way, google enables you to do this, it was not me hacking anything.

You know, news here are going so fast we can't cope with all of them, so a little repost is not that bad :)

I thought google was supposed to use some sort of machine learning to link keywords like this already.

Why was I modded down? I figured Google didn't since people sell books with this stuff, and well, Google publishes for free. Thanks for the link.

isn't this feature the same thing as hitting the "similar pages" button.

This sounds like a good piece of advice, but I don't care for that site (contrast). This piece of advice led me to ask, "what else about Google search don't I already know?" This article left that craving unfilled, but here is a link to the page which satisfied my hunger; http://www.google.com/help/cheatsheet.html
