Very neat.. and I'm pleased to see the quote of the ad saying that the Maplin Minibook runs the "easy to use Linux operating system." Now that you can get a computer with Linux pre-installed, ease of use is on a more level playing field.I'm going to get myself one of these soon. Funny how everyone used to say that laptops would die off in favor of all-singing, all-dancing cellphones or PDAs. Not until there's a convenient way to have the display feed straight to your optic nerves or on a heads-up display--not for these aging baby-boomer eyes, or for anybody trying to view a web page through the tiny viewport that is all phones and PDAs can provide.
I recently bought an Aspire One (1 GB/120 GB HDD/WinXP) and am loving it. It's really a great alternative to the eeePC and the keyboard is decently sized.@bubba9999I don't think you're talking about the Aspire One. It's only been out since July.

I've heard them called "B5 computers" in Japan. (because of the B5 paper size).
