I was learning Modo on my Win Box, but with the recent announcement that they are not continuing with Linux development, I'm looking elsewhere. I was very disappointed. If Linux Modo ever make it to market... I will buy a seat in a hearbeat.
I totally agree with vektuz. The thing about Blender is that Ton Rosendaal created in-house with artists. They came with suggestions suited more for their workflow, and he implemented it. Blender is created from an artist's point of view, not a programmer's. That's why you'll have an easier time getting into 3dsmax and the like.Give Blender 1 hour, and I can guarantee you'll atleast find parts of the interface you'll be impressed with.
What are your opinions about implementing 3D into online store web sites? Could 3D improve product presentation in an online-store? What impact do the modern 3D technologies have on online buyers? 3DProf4onlinefrom TouchBubble.com

I agree with Surfer51, I particularly like this interface as it is not only simple and clena but very intuitive...
