dsc.discovery.com— A german church is playing the slowest piece of music ever. They started in 2001, and the final notes will be heard in 2639. I hope they have scheduled bathroom breaks.

That makes absolutely no sense to do such a thing. Somebody cannot possibly be stupid enough to do such an idiotic thing.I stand corrected.I can't believe how many retards there are in the world. Oh well, I guess we all just have to live with the idiocy of people.
It is such a slow song that no single human will be able to hear it in it's entirity...And when it is all done, if you reverse it and speed it up 335,858,400 times you will hear "Satan eats cheese whiz".
Oh, come on, people. It's the guy's idea of art (and obviously other peoples', too), and the church decided to let it happen. If you don't want to listen to it, don't.
first off, john cage himself has really nothing to do with this (he died in 1992, duh?) and it was some crazy idiots who took his music and decided "Hey, let's play each note 100000 times their length, then we can set a new record!......".......complete dumbasses.........neways, there was a theory behind 4'33" to realize that every aspect of life created it's own music and accord in their own way........and that through silence people may be able to appreciate this fact of life.........that's john cage for ya.........
