It's not elitism. It's the fact that you can customize your system. We don't know what customizations you've made. We don't know what icon set you're using either. Therefore, we don't know exactly where you may have moved (or hidden) an option and what the button looks like on your system due to your customization. We figure "copy and paste this" is a little faster and easier than trying to figure out what you did in your customizations and describe where, exactly, the button we want you to click is.

My friend actually installed Linux on his computer incorrectly while he had XP on it, in which he had to stupidly reformat the whole thing.
