techcrunch.com— With gigabytes of storage, dimensions comparable to traditional note cards, and a full color screen, the iPhone is the ultimate study companion.

Wouldn't a netbook be a bit more practical? The screen is a lot more readable, it's got a proper keyboard so you can type a LOT faster, and they can be had with built-in 3G connections. They're more practical for use in class but are still very portable. It's no surprise that they are proving incredibly popular with students.
One publisher (I think it's Aspen) has already released a few law school study aids -- its "Law in a Flash" flash cards. I think I've seen 'em for Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure and something else (there are there). In my 1L/2L days, these things were pretty helpful. The iPhone really is a great medium for flashcard-like study programs. The study aid app seems to be a no brainer.
A HTC could be the ultimate study machineA Nintendo DS could the ultimate study machine1000 different model of PDA's could be the ultimate study machines100 different models of mobile phones could the the ultimate study machinesA PSP could be the ultimate study machineIn other news, iPhone user has discovered that the iPhone can stop peices of paper flying away when placed on top of them!
@violentvinyl: your last point there sounds exactly like the reason why people go for Windows XP instead of mac OSX. "You buy it because of the wide range of accessories that work with it."I don't think this point helps your argument because it's not true of Apple products. For over a year the iPhone had a recessed headphone jack that made it impossible for you (and I) to use a 3rd party set of headphones. That's just a dick move in my opinion.but I'm still a slave to my iPhone
I have mentioned something similar before with mobile phones. They are becoming so advanced now that there is no need for a seperate camera/recorder/watch/mps player etc, which is great as it saves space and everything is in one place so it is far easier to find something. On the other hand, with all these fabulous apps on phones are going to cause the handset to become far more expensive - I thought there was meant to be a credit crunch - and some people simply can't afford to keep up with all the latest gadets that are in the shops.

It's also an iPod. And a revolutionary internet device. At least that's what the marketing pitch said.
