First of all, a good idea for a Homemade Wedding Centerpieces Ideas is a theme. Think of what types of activities you and your fiance enjoy. For instance, if you enjoy gardening you can develop your theme around flowers and fruits. Instead of buying real flowers you can save money by buying silk wedding flowers. These will last forever and you can set them up ahead of time since you don't have to worry about them dying on you. This will be one less thing you'll have to worry about on your big day! The less that you have to worry about then the more that you can enjoy yourself at your own wedding. You can also create a beautiful fruit centerpiece. Try using real citrus fruits since they give off a delicious scent! It's as easy as getting a big white platter and putting slices of your favorite fruit on it. You can spruce it up more by putting a flower centerpiece in the middle of the platter. Or sprinkle confetti around the platter for added glitter. You can even color coordinate the fruit with your wedding decorations. About the only thing that is limiting you here is your own imagination. Or if you enjoy the beach, then grab some starfishes, sand, etc. at a craft store and use them as your wedding centerpiece. A friend of mine did and it looked really good. They got some glass vases and filled them with colorful sand. Then flowers were added to the vases. Next they used a glue gun and put glue on the vases and glued starfishes to them. They did all the decorating themselves and saved a fortune. They used the money they saved to have a great honeymoon! If saving money is a big concern for you, and in today's economy who doesn't want to save money, then get creative at your wedding. After shopping around for a wedding photographer, I got tired of hearing all the outrageous prices they were charging. I watch 'The People's Court' and I've seen enough episodes of people suing their wedding photographer, because they were unhappy, to make me want to take care of it myself. My wife has a great digital camera and we let the people at the wedding take the wedding pictures. No one at our wedding is a 'professional' photographer but it didn't matter. We passed the camera around and gave everyone a chance to snap a few shots. It turned out great since after awhile everyone was having fun and not worrying about taking a perfect picture. Just remember to take alot of photos, this way you will have enough good pictures to fill your wedding album. Not all the pictures turned out to be worthy being included into the wedding album but there were enough good pictures to fill it out, with lots left over! This also saved us a ton of money since wedding photographers usually charge a small fortune for a service that you can do yourself. Think about it for a second, why pay someone a $1000 or more for something that you can easily do yourself? There is no magical ability that enables a 'professional' to take a better picture than you. The only difference is that they are willing to do it for you and charge you an arm and a leg! Keep in mind that the camera we used is nothing special, it's a Canon powershot that I bought my wife last year for about $250. Look at it this way, buying my OWN digital camera and doing it myself was still cheaper than hiring a professional, PLUS I have a digital camera that's mine! And you just know I was taking some sweet pictures of my honeymoon with that digital camera *wink wink*.My wife loves her diamonds so she wanted some glitter for her wedding centerpiece. My homemade idea was to get some Centerpiece Diamondsand spread them around the tables, this was cheap and made everything glitter like crazy! The fake diamonds are just made out of acrylic or glass and you can find them anywhere. I used them as decorations on my reception tables and the guest tables. All I did was sprinkle them around for some glitter but I was careful not to put them close to the edges of the tables. I didn't want a kid to accidentally grab one and put it in their mouth. Another great centerpiece idea is to use Wedding Favor Boxes and put them on the reception tables.Another great idea for your centerpiece is to visit your local craft store. There are endless possibilities on what you can use to create your centerpiece. My wife loves mosiac crafts and has done a few mosaic craft pieces but don't think in any way that she is an expert. Anyone can do crafts by themselves, all it takes is some patience and practice. So we bought a couple of glass vases and threw some silk flowers in them and filled them with glass marbles. Remember that using silk flowers is a great idea since you can set them up ahead of time. If your using real flowers you'll have to wait til it's almost time for the wedding since they wilt very fast.Remember, your centerpiece will set the mood for your wedding, so make it fun and personal. This way you'll have a fun time and remember it forever. http://www.bridalweddingdecorations.com
