youtube.com— GREAT speech by Daniel Hannan MEP, given directly in front of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Currently being ignored by the British media...

You could if Obama had been in charge of US finance - prior to becoming the president. Obama had very little control of the current situation before taking the helm - he is playing the best hand he can having been dealt terrible cards.Mr. Brown ( to continue the card analogy ) was one of the dealers in the UK for many years but he really wanted to be a player, unfortunately for the UK his dream became reality. What makes it worse is that his mate ( Mr. Blair, ) obviously new that bad hands were on the way and left the table, leaving a place for Mr. Brown. Blair had already played all the Aces and Picture cards, his dealer buddy had arranged that, so there was nothing else to do - but go to the bar.Why Mr. Brown took his seat when he new which cards would be coming is very confusing, why he chooses to blame other people for the cards in his own hand is - very, very wrong.Card Analogy Over - Hannan for King!! He is like a breath of fresh air :-)
I only wish America had such an eloquent voice for fiscal responsiblity. The comment comparing the cost of debt service to the cost of education was particularly striking. The fools in the whitehouse and democrat led congress would be wise to heed these words.
This proves once and for all that the old days of state sponsored public broadcasting and therefore brainwashing are over. Here we see Mr Bean AKA gordon brown coming face to face with the truth. He can pretend it doesen't matter with his silly little schoolboy grin (you know the one that little children give to their classmates when they are really, really embarrassed by the teacher when reprimanded) but the truth is that this one hurt. The cat is out of the bag, it's official, "gordon brown/Mr Bean is FINISHED, end of"
Not too many people of any minority would stand up like that. I give him big props for standing for he believes in and he gets bonus points for being dead on accurate and correct.

Wow, every thing he said could be almost directly applied to Obama.
