yea theres some private sector schools, hospitals, and prisons, but for the most part they are state run, and at least we currently have an option on whether to goto a state or business run hospital/school. Ron Paul would leave us with no choice, how is that better?
'petrodollar', the sleazy worthless neocon with more desperate bullsht arguments.----The reason why original jurisdiction is not commonly used in disputes brought by citizens against their states is that, under the law as it currently exists, appellate jurisdiction already allows them to bring those claims in federal district courts and to appeal them in circuit courts before going to the SCOTUS.-----Sources? Evidence?Even if one State being a party to case is sufficient to give the Supreme Court original jurisdiction, Congress can still strip the Supreme Court of its jurisdiction of entire cases. The SCOTUS does not issue "advisory opinions," so it's not going to intervene at this point in the legislation's history and tell Congress what it can or can't do.You really ought to learn how government works before you go shooting off your fat mouth on these topics, thecoolestguy. Also, I find it ironic that you make the unfounded accusation against me that I support the neocons and then turn around and cite a neocon pre-2006 house bill as justification for your position that the congress can strip the SCOTUS of its original jurisdiction.-------------You obviously support the neocons, as I've seen you time and time against support neocon interventions abroad, so it's hilarious that you feign outrage at Ron Paul, going as far as to call him a traitor, and yet support neocons with the Marriage Protection Act, support unconstitutional wars encouraged by the neocons, and support the mainstream candidates with their massive assumptions of federal power not enumerated in the Constitution. You're a sleazy worthless piece of sht who will utter any lie for the neocon agenda. ---You are an intellectual disaster, thecoolestguy. Please shoot your mom in the womb before taking your own life so as to prevent the further pollution of the human gene pool with your extreme form of mental retardation.----you're a worthless piece of sht. I'm with you there. The way I see it, If your conservative vote Libertarian and if your liberal vote Green. The Republicans and Democrats are ruining this once great country.
Yes, for the most part there are state run facilities, and the costs are through the roof as a consequence of controlling the related industries.Ron Paul would not leave people with no choice, that's absurd.Government itself is not actually providing you a choice. It's mandating a single solution to you. Private alternatives are as varied as the populace is, with choices that best match what people want, according to what the market can bear.Your fear of private solutions stems from the fact that these are corporations, involved with the government. Without a strong central government, you wouldn't have this sort of extreme restriction of freedom to make choices.
