physorg.com— A unique system that can produce Hydrogen inside a car using common metals such as Magnesium and Aluminum was developed by an Israeli company.

nice title, its completely wrong. saying this car makes its own fuel is the same as saying conventional cars make their own fuel: "by ingniting gasoline, cars create tiny explosions, the fuel that makes them go"to take it literally that the car "makes its own fuel" would imply that the car is a perpetual motion machine.
Hey I saw a video about a month or so ago about an elderly guy who invested a lot of video and made basically the same thing. A suitcae-sized device to which you add distilled water. There is no hydrogen stored thus it is safe, but when you drive the device uses some electricity to separate hydrogen from the solution and then routes the hydrogen to the engine. Adding hydrogen helps to use about 90% of fuel instead of around 30% that is used now. The guy had his device tested by various companies for safety. The interesting thing is that he said that his small device could be hooked up to alsmost any car. Quite the same idea as this, only different execution.
jqstew: It won't be too long before we are mining the asteroids. We'll have a virtually unlimited supply of metals. Of course, by then I'm sure we will have solved this hydrogen fuel problem without hauling around a 200lb chunk of magnesium in our car...
This was not developed by an Israeli company. I heard about this being done a year ago by a chemistry department at a Canadian university. They interviewed the research scientist involved on Quirks and Quarks - a very reputable science and technology show on CBC Radio here in CanadaIt is not a hoax. It is chemistry. The process can be written out as a chemical reaction formula. It has been so long since I took Chemistry though, that I cannot do it.
I have been researching this process along with my team. We all agree that we need to act on this information soon, in some way or the other since the price of gas is just unacceptable. Some of them are definitely scams and simply crazy. These guys (<a class="user" href="http://homemadehydrogenfuelcar.com)">http://homemadehydrogenfuelcar.com)</a> don't sell you the kit - only the e-books that tell you how to build one from scratch. They were also listed on a consumer's advocate source for having great tech support. This has traditionally been a weak area for companies dealing with these types of products.

The other day I met some moron who doesn't even believe in global warming. Must be Bush's retarded cousin.

In soviet Israel, magnesium makes fuel out of you.

Same crap, different pile.

What would us northerners do where temperatures frequently hit -40 centigrade or lower (never mind just 0).:P

This is not the first car to run on water. See this video: <a class="user" href="http://befreetech.com/media/stan_meyers_bb.wmv.">http://befreetech.com/media/stan_meyers_bb.wmv.</a>

"To sourgrapes:This moron, he didn't believe in global warming, or didn't believe that global warming was caused by humans? Because if it is the latter, then i happen to agree, and I think that many people agree with me. Also let me add, I'm not related to President Bush in any way. :)"He didn't believe that it existed, much less trying to push the blame on nature. There is a lot of evidence that global warming is caused by humans, the smallest of which is that there was no rise in global temperature until 100 years ago when things started going south. Guess what happened a 100 years ago. Here is a set of articles that try to prove the same:<a class="user" href="http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&lr=lang_en&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-42,GGLG:en&sa=X&oi=scholart&q=proof+that+humans+cause+global+warming">http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&lr=lang_en&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-42,GGLG:en&sa=X&oi=scholart&q=proof+that+humans+cause+global+warming</a>It's funny how some people tend to believe in God without asking any proof, but when it comes to global warming oh no no that would be sin. Humans are spoilt (and I'm not excluding myself). I think it's human nature to act spoilt and worry more about petty things like religion instead of the big picture. I hope that will change one day.

Start making hydrogen from Aluminum now! Very easy, and cheap. No magnesium, no stem no thing! just Aluminum and liquid metal bought on Ebay.<a class="user" href="http://www.instructables.com/id/ECB3EDDF2FRVK4R/">http://www.instructables.com/id/ECB3EDDF2FRVK4R/</a>
