"...think that they decide what's news/interesting..."Uh, douchebag, that's the point of Digg.We DO decide what the f**k is news and what the f**k is interesting. That's the f**king point. You want news? Go to a NEWS SITE.
Motion blur is actually key to believable, well, motion. In this case, ISO would have been my last adjustment, first being ideal f-stop, prob around f2.8 since the lens was a wide angle and wouldn't have much depth of field issues. Next I would see where 1/30 of a sec put me as far as exposure, then adjust the ISO to an appropriate level. If I got too close to the 'bad' high ISO ranges I would then go and reduce the shutter speed some more of needed.Since the camera was locked down on a railing, the boat would have been crisp no matter the shutter speed.
Kinda reminds me of the UPS commercials during the NASCAR races a while back, "Race the Truck" .... you definitely dwarf those around you, and even though this is a time lapse night run, it's definitely cleaner than Bristol. ( I know nothing about boats....) Too Cool.=) ----------------------------------------------------------http://www.oi-torpedo.com/
