cleancss.com — I've used a bunch of web-based CSS optimizer tools out there, but this one is best in my opinion. It cleans up poorly written code and reduces file size with multiple compression settings. I find myself always using it to check my code and make sure it's written the best way. A must have for any web designer.

@Bogthapreserving the order of css rules, if you had a span of both the foo and bar classes, it would be assigned 150% and then 200%, whereas the optimized css would lead to 150% overriding 200%. correct?i'd be interested to know how this optimizer handles all of the css hacks that are out there from back in the day, when one had to hide certain definitions from IE4 by writing css to fool the parser. still, this looks like a good compression routine similar to what google does to javascript - to save bandwidth on the sites that really need it.

So if you post something you are involved in, it's immediately spam? Yes, I am not hiding the fact I put the site up. I would have removed all the information about myself and registered a new name if I wanted to fool everyone. But what's wrong with being honest? I'm not trying to scam anyone. Why is everyone so against me?

Rules defined with code.

hello2usir, wow, you're actually in charge of hiring people? Very scary. Get that "programming" chip off your shoulder; we're all in the same boat here - programmers, designers, coders, IT professionals, etc. Digg is best served when we contribute valuable comments that aren't intended to belittle or make other people feel stupid. Please contribute from what I'm sure is a wealth of valuable IT knowledge you have, rather than convey only your useless angst. Or just shut up.

Good post. I am not a CSS expert, I'm mostly a designer. So I feel this helps me learn CSS better. I feel the benefit I get out of it is learning to write the code *ahem* "markup" better :-)

No, we're not in the same boat.
