yoast.com — Twitter is great for traffic, but just how great it is, well, you'll never really know. Why not? You'll ask. Well, the only traffic you'll see coming from Twitter is traffic that comes through Twitters web interface. And most people I know don't use the web interface, they use desktop and / or phone clients.

Superb. This has always been a blind spot previously. Outstanding hack.

I use the web interface, actually, because the last thing I need is another random piece of junk on my desktop. When I want to check Twitter, I'll flip through a couple of pages on the site. Plus, if I started caring about traffic and such on my twitter, it would no longer be about sharing random thoughts and experiences, and would become the web-equivalent of whoring myself out. NTTAWWT, I guess.

I track the numbers using the tinyurl.cc hit counter. It matches up with the numbers I see in goog anylitics (once it updates) as coming from twitter.com. Am I missing something here? Thx, Twitter.com/Michael_bay

Yeah tracking via your Feedburner feed stats is another way.
