I don't think that's what people are really pissed out though, they are just saying some sort of factual information that makes Big Oil look bad because the people are pissed off. I think what has people so angry is the fact that a few years ago oil was a fraction of the cost that it is now, and we still don't have a clear cut answer as to why that is. I mean we have vague ideas but no 100% answers, let alone solutions.
The more of our discretionary income goes to Big Oil, the more of our national income goes overseas to buy their oil, and the less money is spent within our local economy. In effect, Big Oil is not only swallowing our pay, Big Oil is swallowing-up local businesses as well.
So given we "drill here, drill now" where will our children drill for oil? If we deplete the reserves, how much will oil cost for them? Obviously you are more neo-con than actually conservative.
