thephoenix.com — Christian fundamentalist David McMenemy crashed his car into a building in Davenport, Iowa, hoping to blow it up and kill himself in the fire. Media ignored this, even after 30 yrs of extreme violence by anti-abortion fanatics, who believe they?re fighting a holy war. I guess the only way to make headlines nowadays is to be an Arab or Muslim.

I posted this article on my blog (<a class="user" href="http://scott2096.blogspot.com/2006/12/terrorist-tried-to-blow-up-iowa.html).">http://scott2096.blogspot.com/2006/12/terrorist-tried-to-blow-up-iowa.html).</a> This is the first reply I got:Rev. Don Spitz said...David Robert McMenemy tried to save innocent babies from being murdered by babykilling abortionists. He made a mistake, but at least he tried. A lot more than you have done. The real terrorists are those who murder helpless babies. Stop picking on this guy.SAY THIS PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I am a sinner and am headed to eternal hell because of my sins. I believe you died on the cross to take away my sins and to take me to heaven. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and take away my sins and give me eternal life. <a class="user" href="http://www.armyofgod.com">http://www.armyofgod.com</a>He's the type of fundamentalist Christianity definitely does not need.

I'll give you that it was opinion thus miscategorized, but one of the strong points of the article was:"Is McMenemy a lone nut case, or a member of that network of violent extremists? We don’t know, because journalists haven’t investigated."At least 1220 (and counting) diggers want to know. The author of the article apparently wasn't in a position to cover the story (The Phoenix is based in Boston).

@LiveFastDieOld"But don't journalists have a responsibility to make judgment calls regarding which threats are most substantial?"No. They don't.You are confusing the roles of journalists and editors. A journalist reports facts in as objective a fashion as they can. An editor (or editorial board) will provide a subjective opinion on these facts through things like editorials. This is the root of journalism. This is why institutions like Fox News give journalists a bad name - they make a mockery of this distinction.

The "brown shirts" are protected. You don't see this in the controlled media because it would screw up their evil overlords public relations campaign. We're all supposed to believe that the fake Christians are the good guys...anything that doesn't support that image gets deleted.

abortion = Murder of a baby yet to be born - never given a chance to liveCapital punishment = punishment for a crime committed. The person that committed this crime (usually murder of another person) did this as a choice. As much as I dont agree with capital punishment, its not the same as abortion. How can anyone here say abortion is not killing? It is 100% killing and those who commit abortion are murderers protected by law.

Every day, millions of my sperm "baby's-yet-to-be-born" die. I refuse to be labeled a mass murderer because I can't find a willing mate.As few as 22% of fertilized eggs implant in the womb. If god aborts 3/4 of the time, I have no problem with humans doing it.

Because of guys that hate Christianity so much and embrace Islam we will have Sharia law in 30 years. God, that will be awful. Go look up Sharia law, that will happen if we continue to act like muslims are only peaceful. The koran tells muslims to only be peaceful with non-muslims in order to deceive them. GO LOOK IT UP

You make such a huge deal out of killing a few baby killers but you think nothing of the thousands of dead babies that each of them is responsible for. That means you put the life of a few murderers ahead of thousands of babies. What is it? Age? Do younger people have less worth? How many dead unborn children does it take in your estimation to equal four of five grown mass murderers?
