worm.bluesfear.com— A group of 70+ artists have all did a section of this "Worm Picture". It looks awesome and is worth the loading time, which took about 1 minute for me. Let's hope Digg doesn't kill the worm.

I tried writing a bash script that would wget each image and then join em with imagemagick, but apparently the max pixel dimension in imagemagick is 65500 pixels... You could however easily join it into a few images, rather than 113. There's probably better ways, but my bash isn't that great. This resulted in two images 23999x450 and a third image that is 19802x450:for img in `seq 1 113`do echo "fetching $img.jpg" wget "<a class="user" href="http://worm.bluesfear.com/$img.jpg">http://worm.bluesfear.com/$img.jpg</a>"doneconvert +append `seq -s '.jpg ' 1 40`.jpg worm1.jpgconvert +append `seq -s '.jpg ' 41 80`.jpg worm2.jpgconvert +append `seq -s '.jpg ' 81 113`.jpg worm3.jpg
It looks cool, but this is the equivelent of making "THE WORLDS LONGEST CAR" by putting 1000 cars bumper to bumper. The "longest picture" title implies that it's 1 continiuous, cohesive image, which this is not. It's a bunch of smaller, individual images with no subject or theme relationship.Pretty lame. IMO. The only thing impresive about it is they took the time to blend each image as best they could instead of just seperating it with a line.
Ahh yes, Bluesfear- Cool to see they're doing something other than just Photoshop tutorials now. Very cool picture-Dugg for the HL2 Combine sighting.~Soniti

Not the longest, but neat, nonetheless. There was one page that was 3 miles wide, on 1280x1024 monitors.

Does anyone have a full spliced copy of the picture (one image file of the entire mural)?
