I've got an idea, how about you move to Canada instead!? Better yet, move to Alaska, succeed the union, and make Palin your president. We have no use for you cynical types anymore.
Being afraid or scared is exactly what is wanted by those in power, in order to maintain the status quo. Not to scare you more but the banks and government are already pretty cozy with each other. That's why you see former ceos of large oil/ construction companies become presidents and vice presidents.
I really shouldn't be debating with gofalcons, because he's either an idiot or a troll and neither deserves my time. However, Canada has a massive amount of international students. Exactly how many, I'm not sure, but our universities are quite good, with many regularly ranking in the top 50 worldwide.Yes, American has many, many superb post secondary locations as well, however, I hardly see how that is grounds for what country is 'better'.

It's well known in the US that reality has a liberal bias.

If you're walking down the right path and you're willing to keep walking, eventually you'll make progress.
