What if you are a person that doesn't enter contests, what reason then do you have to digg this?Seriously though, these companies do these contests to drive traffic to their sites. If people were to successfully keep them secret, and low traffic was generated but still had to give away the prizes, they'd stop doing the contests... So.. in the long term, making these things more popular may actually help you win more prizes, since the companies will give away more prizes. It's cheaper then buying ad space.
People can just go easily buy an 360 if they want one. The situation with the PS3 and Wii is that they are so hyped and hard to get that you can make more money from customer traffic by giving them away then actually selling them.
hahahahahha. The television developers will see that and say, "Hey, that sounds slightly familiar... but good! Quick, make a movie about that. We'll call it, 'Why I wore lipstick to my mastectomy XVIII'."(That's an actualy movie name.)
