That's nice. Considering that I'm not going to be doing anything important that morning anyways, and there are a couple devices I've been meaning to buy but never got around to for several months now, I don't see how it's going to hurt anything to get up a little early, sit in a line for an hour or two, and then file through a store with a bunch of other people and walk out with some new stuff and more cash than I'd have had otherwise...

It does work HOWEVER be warned that because of the policies at most of the stores the Black Friday items they sell are NOT the same items that they normally carry in the store. All it has to have is a different sku and then your tactic doesn't work. You have to check before hand that this is the case which is tough unless you know someone at the store who has enough power to know this information or you have the skus of the products etc.

Yes but beware because lots of times there are differences between giving you the difference back AND making it look like you purchased the product on the correct date for mail-in rebates. Not only that but not all places say that "free" giveaways with purchases are covered under the "price" protection.
