flickr.com — my largest pumpkin carving endeavor ever. I took the Shepard Fairey designed poster, put it in CS, made it 3 shades in B&W and resized it to 8x10. used carbon paper to etch the pattern onto the pumpkin, then used an exacto knife(man i wish i had dremel tool) and carved the 3 layers to make the pattern.

No, just that every direction is the future... I think.I tend to think space has negative (local hyperbolic) curvature myself.

I'll probably go back and forth between using the Dremel and my reciprocal carver, whichever according to the effect I want.Might do a pointilized one with a series of needle-thin holes to let light through. That probably wouldn't work with a natural pumpkin but should be fine for a craft pumpkin. That's all for the best anyway because if I take three hours to pointilize a jack-o-lantern I don't want it to be sludge a week later. Stick it in the crate for next year.

With two unwinnable wars, record levels of unemployment and foreclosures, financial meltdown, US voting descending into violence and the US being sidelined in international affairs, help me define "the worst" that you refer to.
