The only thing... And I mean the ONLY thing I've ever heard from the man was his 'Bush doesn't care about Black people' line after the hurricane. Until this post I didn't even know he was a musician. He was on stage with the Wayne's World guy, I assumed he was one of those 'B level' comedians nobody has ever head of.Of course, I don't listen to rap or country, so there are a lot of popular artists I've never heard of. What should he be? How should he be different then he is? What could he do to make everyone like him? Ultimately pop stars are all going to be scrutinized to the point of a consensus hatred by some group, and for some reason digg has manifested as one of the massive anti-Kanye movements. You know what though, John Lennon was an assh**e. He cheated on his wife and abandoned his son, he was addicted to heroin, and he said that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. Do any of you hate John Lennon? Jim Morrison, Andy Warhol, Stanley Kubrick, Beethoven. These were not approachable, charitable figures. They were bitter, brilliant bastards and they weren't successful because they said what people wanted to hear. Like it or not Kanye West really is one of the most interesting musical figures right now. Who's trying harder to make something real? Very few people. Who the f**k cares what he says in an interview. Listen to his music, if you don't like it, then let's hear why, if you don't like him, and this is important, it does. not. matter. I don't know how many die-hard diggers have a concept of themselves as a collective, but you guys come off as the bitterest, angriest, sad sacks on the internet sometimes.Commence with the digging down.
Haha... Um, how about what he did to poor little Taylor Swift! (and Beyonce!) HOW RUDE!!! Beyonce won Best Video. What an idiot. Taylor was probably the youngest and most vulnerable there! It was like punching a baby or kicking a puppy!!! :o(
