bobbarr2008.com — Are we tired of the immense growth of government? Have we had enough of the Police State? Now we move towards a system of complete collectivism and control, where everyone is enslaved to everybody. American must defend freedom in it's hour of maximum darkness - that hour is now.

Great video, I love the compilation of all the quotes from some of the greatest speakers in history. They may have made those statements a long time ago, but they still apply and resonate today. Go Bob Go!

Can you imagine how s**tty government issued cell phones would be? Thank god some things are still free to prosper under unfettered market competition.

It being an "extraordinary" claim, or such a claim requiring "extraordinary evidence", aside...It's quite simple. There is an organization that calls itself "The Libertarian Party". It's a title. The title was inspired by libertarian philosophies which were valued by the creators of the party at the time...Fast forward a bit. It's still a political party. It still has the same name. It no longer has libertarians in it calling the shots. It's kinda like how the Democrats and Republicans couldn't care less about whether or not the country is a republic, or a democracy. The parties might as well be labeled by age, or something. Party 1, Party 2, and Party 3. It's just a name.

Ron Paul's write-in votes won't be counted, so they won't be reported. Now listen, I'm almost as big of a Ron Paul supporter as there is on Digg, but Ron himself specifically stated to NOT WRITE HIM IN FOR PRESIDENT IN NOVEMBER. By ignoring his request, you're working against everything he was fighting for.I'm not excited about Bob Barr either, but face the facts: 1. Bob Barr is not going to win the presidency, so regardless of what your conscience tells you, your vote is not going to make you morally responsible for electing Bob Barr. 2. A vote for Barr is a vote against the 2 party system. Bob Barr doesn't have to win to have an impact. In many states, getting a few % points will give the LP major party status, meaning they won't have to spend money collecting signatures that they could have been spending on actually campaigning.

He also voted for the patriot act, voted for the Iraq war, and voted to pass laws that made government regulation of drugs even more strict. According to his record, he sucks. Big time.

@XxtraLarGeA vote for anybody not a Democrat or a Republican is against the 2 party system. So you may as well just vote for Nader or the Constitution Party guy. A no-vote (i.e. vote for everything except president) is a vote against the 2 party system.I don't really want the National Libertarian Party to get more percentage points for making a worse decision. This would send the wrong message to the LP. I want them to realize how f**king pissed I am that they were willing to sell their integrity for what? I can't even figure out what we got in exchange for nominating Bob Barr. Bob Barr is not charismatic. He is not that well known. He used to be the opposite of a Libertarian. He has changed a few of his positions so while not the opposite of a Libertarian is still not a Libertarian. He still supports the drug war. He is still against decriminalizing victimless crimes. He has no integrity. He has the worst voting record ever for a Libertarian. Dennis Kucinich is a better Libertarian. Obama is a better Libertarian. Nader is a better Libertarian. These are people that are not even trying to be good Libertarians.f**k Bob Barr and f**k the Libertarian Party. To all the (little L) libertarians out there, keep fighting the good fight.

@thestrangerI admire your compassion for others, but just because you would give 10% of your paycheck for everyone else's healthcare, welfare, education, etc. doesn't mean that's the right decision for all Americans! Don't dip into someone else's wallet to support things that you think are important. There are probably many people out there who would rather buy an HD TV than give that same money to support a child's education. Well, this is America, land of the free, so isn't that his choice? Who are you to tell them how to spend the money they earned? This is the problem with our society. Too many people using the government to force everyone else to fund things they think are important.

Hey Nickflyer,I was a Republican all my life until this year. I am 56 years old. My first rodeo was the Barry Goldwater campaign when I was 12 years old. I was a Reaganite to the core. I cannot in good conscience support the party that the Republicans have morphed into. I'm now a Libertarian for the long haul. I think conservatives need to exit and support a third candidate. Barr is a good one!
