trainhorns.net — This sound can generally only heard by people under the age of 25. It has been used as a deterrent device to keep teenagers from loitering in malls and shops, and sounds similar to a buzzing mosquito. Typically the longer you listen to it, the more annoying it gets.

21 and I got the tinnitus effect, the longer I listened the more my ears would ring. My roommate could hear something, and for me the ringing basically stops when I stop playing the mp3.Of course, I've been sick so my ears aren't working so well atm...

32, heard nothing. My eyes started watering, though, and there was an odd pressure in my ears. But no sound. My husband had to come in from another room to ask what the hell it was, because it was giving him a headache.
