@lakawakIf what you say is true, the price-per-format should be a lot less. The cost of the medium is as near to nothing as makes no odds. At least 90% of the price of a CD is for the song. That's why it's different from books, which are more expensive to print and bind, and which people can't produce at home by themselves.
Pirated software make the artisits more popular and well known, as others have already said, it is up to the artists to boycott the RIAA. That way, we the consumers can chose the next star instead of the RIAA forcing one on us. When will the artists wake up?
So.. is it just me or is that shatty blog one big long run-on sentence and fragment after another? I can't believe anything on there... the guy types like the annoying assh**e at the grocery store talks.... we all know THAT guy, right? The one whose story always outdoes YOUR story.
Go Pirate parties around the world... We are united and we are tired of being kicked on.No other way seem to work and now the laws are being changed in there favour as well. Why would I not vote for Piratpartiet( www.piratpartiet.se ) in the upcomming parlamentary election of Sweden at Sep 17? After all the party's question leads to a strenghtening of democracy away from the despotism we have seen rescently emerge from goverments and business practice all over the world.
From the Bio of Mitch Bainwol, Chairman and CEO of the RIAAThe Washington Post recently called Bainwol a "Top D.C. Lobbyist and Man in Demand." Several years in a row, Capitol Hill's Roll Call newspaper hailed Bainwol as one of the 50 most influential "politicos" in Washington. He was also named by Entertainment Weekly as one of the most powerful people in show business and Campaigns and Elections magazine named him a "Mover and Shaker."

remember when copywrite protected the rights of creators instead of distributors?

I've heard this before. It sucks to think that every time I burn a linux distro to a CD-R, the members of the RIAA get some money.

OH crap, you didn't post something bashing the RIAA, you'll be enjoying immediate negative diggs.
