Boris,No it wasn't. The only thing that changed the story was Wiki's spin on it with its unbiased story with an unbiased title: "Collateral Murder" lolz. Anyhoo, the military story is exactly the same as it was before the wikileak.
I really don't know how someone who's eyes are sharp enough to pick out something as small as a rifle couldn't see the two kids riding shotgun in the van. It took me about ten viewings to be able to pick out the weapons while specifically looking for them, but I saw the kids in the first showing of that video.
Given that I don't really care fox's history, the wikileaks editor said what he said. That's not going to change no matter what fox spin they put on it.What is wrong with this situation is that you watched the edited version first that TOLD you kids were in the car. Had you watched the un-captioned video you would have had no idea that kids were in that vehicle. As per the ROE, you are allowed to engage anyone attempting to take away wounded suspected insurgents from the battlefield. They were not clearly marked at field medics (which the ROE in the Geneva Convention protects) so their jobs were not that of medics to take them away. Look at it from the perspective of the soldiers and not of the armchair investigator -- the men were taking away suspected insurgents and could've possibly handing them weapons or a number of other things. They should've waited for government backup, which would've came, to assist. The US drops leaflets, has TV stations that help to explain what to do in situations like this, and it's pretty clear that if you drive into an area where a lot of people are dead/wounded that you not interfere as you are putting yourself in danger. The attacker is still likely nearby and you do not endanger your children by joining in whatever is happening. You allow people who are trained and equipped to handle the situation. It was a mistake to shoot them, but the soldiers followed protocol.
I thinks it's easy to sit in front of a computer, bitch and moan about the injustice and the horrors of the video. How about this? That video shows you war in a raw unfiltered manner. There is no soundtrack, title sequence or some douchebag qouting from the bible or the Koran. This is the naked reality of the s**t that goes on over there. If you don't like it, then get out there and change it. Don't just sit in front of a monitor saying how f**ked up it is. Whn you go into any war zone, you might get killed, that's the deal and THAT is what those journalist's knew. Yeah, it's f**ked up that we got suckered into Iraq and it really sucks for the people in that video but come on man, see it for what it really is and then do somthing real about it.
yes, you're right, we're all like that, i myself enjoy raping and murdering along with the other million service members. why don't you don't something rather than put down those risking their lives. get off digg and start convincing your political leaders to get us out of there. It's always the same, whenever you need us, you cry, whenever you don't, you call us murderers. just shut up you little bitch.

Nothing was covered up. The U.S. (or any other country in the world) doesn't make it a habit to post videos of every battle on the internet.

Wikileaks is garbage for editing that footage to get publicity for their site.
