spiritof.info— If legendary inventor Ray Kurzweil is right, the future will be a lot brighter - and weirder - than you think.

I just don't get that mindset. It sounds so much like a little kid breaking his friends toy because he doesn't have one too. If most of our species is at a place where if we're unhappy, 'everyone' has to be unhappy, it seems like any kind of change would be for the better.
It is true we will have the capabilities to merge with machine technology to grant us immortality, but do you really think the Bush Administration will share it, do you actually think our lives will become better, the reality is this technology will be used the oppress us even further having total control over us. NWO The Illuminati. Keep Dreaming People..................
Kurzweil may be a brilliant inventor and ideas man, but as far as proposing a timeframe for these developments, he is off by several orders of magnitude. Molecular biologists are finding new complexities every day in their studies, and ones that make Kurzweil's arguments for significant life extension in the next 50 years overly optimistic. Ray convinced HIMSELF that he was going to make it to the Singularity just before he would croak by manipulating numbers, graphs and statistics, carried all by his own faith in humanity. The real scientists and engineers who are actively working on these problems should have a good talk with Ray and bring him back down from his pie in the sky.
could u please recommend some other minds which are at the same level as Kurzweil and who are also great communicators like him. I would highly appreciate ur help.Gaurav

It's just like Matrix or Brave new world, there is always a place for people who do not believe in it.

It won't happen in a mere 20 years. Not even 50.
