The probability of a "terrorist" attack is actually MUCH smaller than one in 9.3 million since most "terrorist" attacks such as the Oklahoma bombing, 9/11, London 7/7, etc etc, are false-flag operations perpetrated by a very different kind of "terrorist" than the public are told.Oklahoma? A truck filled with a home-made fertilizer bomb? When the news-media reported numerous bombs inside the building, many that didn't go off and where transported away. Just look up some reports by for instance Brigadier General Benton K. Partin to learn that the Oklahoma bombing was an INSIDE JOB.Speaking of odds, concerning the London 7/7 bombing:Can any of you tell me what are the odds against a so-called "suicide-bomber" ending up blowing himself and a bus up; when the bus had been diverted from its normal route and ended up "lost" in Tavistock Square; right outside Fortress GB in Tavistock House, and that the "blood of the sacrificed" would end up spattered right on the two doorposts and lintel of the entrance to the original Tavistock Clinic from where the Tavistock Institute emanated, like a Satanic "passover" ritual?...http://100777.com/faketerror/london/oddsThe odds are astronomical.
The thing is, the more people who are afraid of them, the more people who don't die!For example, while my odds of sitting in the basement and getting attacked by a shark are 1:11.5 Million, I'm sure that if I was swimming out in the middle of the phillipines, it would be probably be considerably less than that.Do you think that unhealthy diets aren't covered as much as shark attacks? Or even more than on the news? When was the last time a shark attack made headlines? Compare that to the last time the obesity epidemic made headlines.Yeah, it's likely. Now, get over yourselves - you critical jerks.
Wow... Some people will say anything to debunk science... If you don't understand statistics (it's been a while since i took the class, but hey) you should preface your comments with "IDKWITA, but...." .The point was what people in the general population fear, versus what the actually risk for people in the general population was. For instance, someone living in Omaha and never travels very far would certainly never be killed by a shark, but they could still be afraid of it. It was not about the relative threat factors for a shark attack in various employment scenarios; say, an Iowa farmer versus a Jamaican fisherman. Further, the article did not always spell out the base line for the numbers (per year vs. per lifetime), the population (US residents vs global population) and to draw conclusions without full details is specious a bestAnother fact about statistics is you cannot simply disassemble them and produce meaningful results. For instance, in construction they utilize a metric called man-hours. A large project may have required a million man-hours to complete. For all you debunkers out there who like to disassemble things to create absurdities, this DOES NOT mean:A) One man could complete the project by himself in a million hours (one man does not have a million hours).B) A Million men could complete the project in one hour (the technical term for that would be a "clusterf**k").However, a good construction estimator, with a few (OK, a lot) more details, could utilize the million man-hour statistic to accurately estimate duration and cost.So if you look at the numbers and they don't make sense, take a course in statistics or at least read sometime to try to understand what your gonna say before you go running your suck.
