nomorequo.blogspot.com — In William Shakespeare's play, "Romeo and Juliet," the titular star cross'd lovers fatefully decide to pursue their love, despite the chaos and war unfolding around them. Their decision ends up being a fatal one. I suppose the ironic question that some people might want to ask the protagonists is: Out of all the wo/men in the world...

Romeo and Juliet were married before they slept together. The nightingale/lark scene is the morning after they got married in secret.

@10mod3And you assume that sex must involve lust? It can't involve, say, love instead?Jesus preached that we don't treat each other as objects, but rather as members of the same community. Sure, to lust (in that context: to want a woman purely for your sexual use and nothing else) is kind've a bad thing. To love? Not so bad. Your interpretation is a horribly Moralistic bastardization of His message. Not blaming you, as that Moralism is the message preached from many a pulpit nowadays. But it is most certainly wrong.Sex is not evil. Sex out of wedlock is not evil. Sex as fun activity is not evil. Sex without acknowledgment of the personhod of the partner (getting pretty common, frankly) is sort of evil. A little baby evil. Like Evil Lite, but still not Good. ;-)Tom CaudronDisclaimer: I'm a Christian with a degree in religious studies.

@"undergrace"We throw people into jail because we are not all powerful and cannot simply change them instantly into model citizens. And all powerful, all knowing god would have this ability. He could have (if he so choose if he was all powerful) made humans inherently good and incapable of being truly evil. Of course there would be no true will... But why does an all powerful god need to have an experiment to give humans free will because he knows that most of them will do evil things and are incapable of even choosing born into a society where they here the word of god.If humans did have true free will, we could simply choose to be born as a Christian or Muslim or whatever we so desire.Otherwise do you really expect a Buddhist child in the jungles of Laos in the 1300's to ever hear a Christian ministry? How can that child possible have the true free will to choose from heaven or hell? He can't. He simply does not have the knowledge. In turn, this is why god does not exist, is evil, is not all powerful, or simply is truly good and all powerful and does not send people to hell because he knows most humans do not have true free will in the matter. In fact, I would dare say that a human cannot understand the will of god and therefore no one should speak on behalf of him saying who shall or who won't go to hell.

People have sex before marriage because they have genitals before marriage.

I'm sure it's been said before in a million different ways but even girls' mothers teach them you taste the milk before you buy the frickin' COW. Yes, men are cows too. They do most of the work. I give credit there. You never enter a "loving relationship" legally and expect things to still be peachy-keen after the bed goes bad.

You all do not sound Christian, and if you are, you did not grow up learning the values and morals from the Bible in that sex before marriage is a sin...it's called fornication!
