I loved the old Packard plant. Partied there a few times in the mid 90s. Place was beat up and run down there. Obviously has gotten much worse. The people of Detroit and Michigan as a whole are great people. Sad they were dealt with a terrible hand. My Dad who is a GM retiree is losing his health care. Who knows what's next.Whatever happened to "Made in America" pride? Oh yeah, I remember . . . we (as Americans) insisted that cheaper is better, regardless of its country of origin.Just another case of Americans' shooting themselves in the foot.
This is what happens when you let liberals run an entire town while the neocons turn an entire economy into an import addicted, debt rich concoction. There is a way to fix this, however people just don't have the stomach anymore. Will someone please turn the lights off before leaving?
