extremetech.com — After the success of their collaboration on the Habu gaming mouse, Microsoft and Razer are at it again. Can the Reclusa achieve the same success as the Habu? This gaming keyboard has an attractive design with blue backlighting; soft and cushy keys, two USB ports, two knobs, and decent software.

I have to admit I was tempted as I've been after a backlit keyboard for months but haven't found one I liked, until I read "We would rather have this LED backlighting than not, but where's the option to turn off the light?" wtf?

who would buy a gaming keyboard/why would i want one if i have brand xxx keybo?depends really on what games you play. for a fast action games like Unreal Tournament series or Quake series, which have high amount of APM (actions per minute, includes weapon changes and movement changes), you need a high quality keybo with antighosting capability. afaik only Razer Tarantula has this feature. this means you can press up to 10 keys at one go without the "ghosting" effect (for a conventional keyboard, signal failure occurs when three to four keys are pressed simultaneously - applies to other "gaming" keyboards too). ghosting means your last key might get stuck which is really annoying.

Thank you. Finally I see someone on digg that uses dvorak. I type 100wpm effortlessly with it. I'll never switch back.

I always loved the LCD to monitor my CPU/RAM usage. I'm always checking it with Task Manager, so the LCD made it easier to check, especially in full screen games. The LCD was also functional with a lot of games. I know around the 1.7 patch of WoW, Blizzard added support for G15's LCD, so I could see all my stats there (from health, to crit chance), which was awesome.

WOW. It's a keyboard with backlighting and some macro keys. Why is this important?

Ok kids, this is a nice keyboard, despite what you say about the name (who cares btw). The keys are soft responsive and comfortable. I use this with my razor copperhead mouse and the blue light go together well and i like the usb ports. I am very satisfied. 8/10
