huffingtonpost.com — Real unemployment in the United States is stuck at a dismal 19%, a figure nearly twice the so-called official number. And the economy is short a staggering 22.4 million jobs in order to have an overall full unemployment rate of 5%, which is more than twice the 9 million figure the administration is using.

Governments have been cooking the unemployment books since the days of the Depression, to prevent widespread panic.

People that WANT a job and cannot find one should be counted as unemployed even if their unemployment has run out—that is all I was saying. How silly of me, thinking that is what unemployment means!!

Immigration isn't the problem in and of itself. It's the social programs that allow the immigrant to draw more from the system than they put in that is the problem. Remove social programs like food stamps, health care, welfare, ect... and the immigrant will not be an issue at all. Removing these also removes a huge tax burden from the companies that create the jobs, allowing them to create more jobs. With a limited government, as the constitution lays out, immigration would not be an issue.

If you bring it up they call you a racist, as it all started with Barney and Company forcing the banks give out easy mortgages to minorities.

Here is a REAL UNEMPLOYMENT story for you. Beware if you take a Temporary U.S. Census Job and get sick (for even one day). Any assistance with taking this story viral, I would appreciate- http://www.annarbor.com/community/news/government/ ...

We called the economic recovery a "Holy Resurrection" last week, and the piece linked to below was based on the many holes that exist within our recovery. The government includes part-time workers as employed, even though many of them use to work full-time, and the government also takes long-term unemployed out if people stop looking for four weeks. We have written about this, and our coverage of the latest Employment Situation Report for March can be seen here:http://wallstreetgreek.blogspot.com/2010/04/holy-r ...Today we published this report on Weekly Jobless Claims, which are sticking stubbornly high - due, we believe, to layoff activity in the small business segment, despite government efforts to stymie that with hiring tax incentives. See that article here:http://wallstreetgreek.blogspot.com/2010/04/weekly ...Best, "The Greek" of Wall Street Greek
