consumerist.com — "The RIAA and MPAA are telling California legislators that lies and deceit are an integral part of their anti-piracy strategy. The importance of lying, masterfully demonstrated by Jim Carrey in his 1997 hit "Liar Liar," is at issue as California legislators mull a measure that would ban pretexting. RIAA and MPAA are bound and determined to destroy thier industries. The music indusrty is already a shadow of it's former self. It's downfall has also had help by it's Mcbands and Mcrappers. The movie industry is also on it's way though more slowly.....with the help of remakes, sequels, and rehashes. The gaming industry is also on it's way down this path.

DK: Movies and music will be made by people who truly enjoy the art even if they don't get paid for it.What's going on in hollywood right now as you can tell by popular movies and music is that the same garbage is being made over and over again with no creativity. Youtube has plenty of creativity and no payment. Granted there is a lot of garbage as well but with rating systems we can filter out the fluff.Content will never be the same again.

"Movies and music will be made by people who truly enjoy the art even if they don't get paid for it....Youtube has plenty of creativity and no payment."So you're suggesting there should be less entertainment like the 300 and more like that found on YouTube? Have it. By the way, I'm a 40-year old, professionial actor. I enjoy the crazy things in life, like eating and a roof over my head. If you think I'm going to entertain you for free, you're fooling yourself.

And by humanity you mean people pirating movies and music? Because I don't think the law abiding public gives a flying f**k.

"The RI/MP-AAsses shroud themselves in the sweat of the artist, claiming to only represent their best interests"Hey superpixel,I'm one of the artists you're talking about. Trust me, someone paying to see my work is better than someone pirating it.
