"They refuse to admit that the condition of foreign occupation is the key ingredient that unleashed the civil war now raging in Iraq and serves as a recruitment device for Al Qaida." - Ron PaulTo add to this I think they are refusing to admit that there is even a civil war going on. Either they don't want to admit it or they refuse to see it. To admit it would be to admit their failures.

You remember when they had to do that raid to get some of the British special forces troops that were captured by the Iraqis and bust them out of jail? They were found in a car with bomb materials and were dressed as terrorist. The Iraqi police arrested them and were going to prosecute them when the Brits busted them out. They were caught in the act of creating sectarian violence. It is suspected that in fact they blew up a historic Shiite Mosque and framed the Sunni in order to stir up the present hatred. The reason for this is likely to show the world how much the Muslims need the West there to keep them from killing each other. It is a bunch of convoluted crap in my opinion. They want the oil but they want to cut production and keep the prices high. The war effectively cuts off the flow of oil from Iraq and the demand increases and the price goes up. It is a win win for the Arabs that are our friends and for the US oil companies that can now profit from pumping out more expensive to produce domestic oil.
