portfolio.com — Ethan and I had first started talking over an untraceable prepaid phone...He eventually agrees to speak in person...He hands me a flash drive containing documents...He also pulls out a...sheet of paper bearing my name, the first five digits of my Social Security number, a few pictures...and addresses going back 10 years. "I had to check," he said.

You are so very correct. This store IS FALSE. Anyone who followed the MediaDefender leaks will know that this is NOT HOW THEY HAPPEND.READ THE NFO THAT CAME WITH THE EMAILS, the author of this story clearly did not.Ethan is either a liar, or does not exist.

The problem is what we define 'piracy' as. I mean, the general person who downloads music or movies over a P2P network doesn't see it as stealing. It's just something they take for granted now. It's so accepted in the online society that people just do it. We as a society need to re-evaluate our morals now that we have all this new technology. What was morally wrong 10 years ago may not be anymore. Our laws need to reflect that. I mean, can you imagine what would happen if we had the same laws today that we did in the 1700's? Or even the 1930's? Morals change, people change, technology changes things, and we need to embrace that.

It's becoming more and more apparent every day that the entertainment industry won't be able to keep the choke hold it has. I think those who are trying to stop media from being downloaded and mass-distributed are only going to die out because they can't change, where as a new generation of filmakers and musicians are going to embrace filesharing culture and change the standards, I really feel that we are on the rise of a revolution.
