There is a small chance this is a trap :). Wouldn't that be funny/sad... if the RIAA was somehow allowing the server to stay online, just to be able to log all the traffic for lawsuits.
"I would hope they'd have some respect to a business partner.. it's a different situation there."Depends on who the partner is. If it was one of the companies behind the RIAA, for instance, I would find it highly amusing for them to get f**ked over in the deal.
@TheCollective00 I can respect what you say and i like the idea of sticking it to the fat cat with his yacht. but sadly i don't really see the indie bands getting treated any differently, anybody who think this situation makes things easier for artists is deluding themselves.it's true there's no cost involved in digital distribution, but that doesn't mean there's no value in the music. what you are paying for is the music, not just a piece of plastic. to me it has value, otherwise i'd just write my own music and listen to that all day or listen to nothing. obviously that would be totally boring so music is very valuable to me and I feel the artists need to be supported to continue creating. i'll be glad to see money going directly to the artists, but the key to that is that you actually need to open your wallet once in a while and give some money to the artists that you love. paying $5 for every album you listen to would be fantastic for artists, it's too bad more people don't do it. they SAY they support their artists, but when it comes time to actually put their money where there mouth is... uh, oh yea, that album kinda sucked anyway.

It looks like you didn't reply directly to my reply thread so maybe that's why?In any case, I am still interested in what you have to offer so please feel free to try again...
