torrentfreak.com — A few hours ago The Pirate Bay website started to slow down, and eventually it became completely unresponsive. With the trial going on at the moment, the downtime instantly led to all kinds of rumors. However, there is nothing to worry about, the downtime is not related to the trial and people are on their way to bring the site back up.

@yuanzhoulu :'where is TPB getting internet access in the courtroom?'Perhaps Swedish courts have open wireless... y'know, for journalists. Or for judges to furtively discover instant law opinions. I've got an inactive Firefox extension called Jureeka! for that very purpose, even though I am completely uninterested in all laws of God or Man. All hail the Mighty Little Fox !

Look people, I live in the third world, we have been isolated for most of the past ten years with low bandwidth, capped and metred internet and massive inquality and bad GINI coefficients. We do not have any money to spend on copyrighted material. I repeat, no $$$$. Now after you people have been sharing all your wares with each other, you must now share them with us. Why do we have to suffer the demise of piracy at the exact point we get enough bandwidth to share anything? This is really bad for developing world, we are still slaves and living in extreme poverty, get the right arguments to defeat the case. Do it for the planet, do it for the third world, do it for Gaza, do it for Myanmar and people like me living in Africa.
