almy.us— Very cool retro gamer nostalgia from this text-based adventure. A reminder of a time when the best gamer graphics were in our minds. Lovingly hand-drawn by the player himself (as it should have been)!

The thief appearing in a room and attacking you? I know that was random. The only other variables I can think of is how many moves it takes to dispatch either the cyclops or the troll.
Aww. Memories of me and my roommate's (hey Bill!) VIC-20, diving into Zork through the file in SUNY Albany's mainframe, circa 1981. And getting NOTHING else done. For days. xyzzy, indeed. Thanks, Diggers.
Mine were usually small areas on seperate pieces of paper, and I wouldn't have charted out movable and non movable things so well for sure.As for items... couldn't say. That was always a tough one for me.

Is this really just Zork I? I remember beating this game, but I don't recall anything about a Volcano or a "Bank of Zork"

Still, to this day, one of the hardest games I've ever played.

I was just teaching my son to draw these maps starting him with Wishbringer, indeed fond memories, too bad I never kept any of them...
