What's with the obsession over which will make the most money? I don't care as long as I get good games. Last generation I owned the ps2 because it came out first and was a good system with a lot of games. Over time, I ended up buying the other two because I saw things about them that I liked. ps2 had all the games and a controller that I liked. Xbox had halo 2 and xbox live. Gamecube had classic games and was cheap. I think you guys should focus on what systems are going to be fun not on who is going to win this time around. I own a 360 now cause it's awesome and I plan on owning a Wii. I don't know about the PS3 but if they come out with something that appeals to me, i'll get it. Quit being so company loyal and review their stuff for what it is.
Man this is some scary s**t. Apparently the Nintendo fanboys are more fanboy than Miyamoto himself. That's just sad................. talk about excessive denialNo thanks Mr Random blogger.......
Miyamoto doesn't speak english, the original article was also reinterpretation of what he said.Edit: Oops I didn't see BenSerwa reply, because well, it's not where it should be...
What I don't even understand is, why is it bad that wii is considered an gamecube at all? I mean when Amd released their 64bit processors, did they say they didn't want computers using it to be called PCs anymore, or even x86? I mean if it were called gamecube 2.0, I doubt any one would be getting into this crap. I mean it is essentially an upgraded gamecube. If you look at it as a platform, then it could be called the gamecube platform, in which case yes the wii is of the gamecube platform.I guess this is all in the fanboydom, some fanboy makes the word gamecube into a bad word. And all of a sudden people are calling each others moms gamecubes. WTF!
@bkingThe easieness of designing a game is more to do with the software tools, such as level editors, etc. And as far as I know the wii doesn't come with level editors, that is usually in house toolset. That is different for game programmers, consoles provide game programing tools with their devkits. And I've heard the gamecube was easy, and the wii should be just as easy. Although the 360 xdk is also very easy, especially because it ties in with visual c++ allowing for easy debugging.
