A friend switched to Ubuntu several days ago. He seems to like it more than Windows and he didn't even have to type a single command. He is pretty happy with it.

Someone's actually doing that right now: http://www.monochromementality.com/index.php/blog/ ...Wondering what are the lessons to be learned from the two experiences?p.s. In the interests of full disclosure, I'm a columnist with LinuxInsider, and would love to hear any thoughts on this for a column I'm writing, comparing the two perspectives.
