techcrunchit.com— "Apple has wrapped the iPhone SDK in enough licensing, security controls and right management that it would make the Microsoft Acive Desktop team blush."

The iphone would be something to consider IF, itunes wasnt such a horrid app and the ONLY way to access the device. What is the ultimate in irony is that their desktop environment not only does things the right way, it also is driven by intel and allows dual boot for Windows. Protecting your product is one thing, Hypocrisy from one hand to the next is another. I think maybe its time for someone to find a way to take emulation to the next level and make Symbian AND Windows mobile usuable on this system without itunes and finally unlock the digital chastity belt. Let me know if anyone does pull that off and I will line up to buy 2 of these bad boys, because to be honest I wont even look at apple and "Da Fuhrer Steve's" devices until I can do what I please on it. This consumer will only be dictated to a certain degree before I wield my purchase power elsewhere.
Its funny that allot of the 'new' Mac users half assedly go on about the BORG that is Microsoft without an inkling why we originally left Microsoft for Apple.... they just get on the bandwagon... I think un-authentic people without their own opinions suck. The way Apple is going now I am in the process of leaving them. My last piece of Apple hardware (Airport Extreme) will be switched for the new Netgear open source router
