This is a terrible display of anti-rat prejudice. Rizzo should have been Morpheus, not Cypher. And Beaker as an Agent? I feel the casting is questionable. That being said, this looks to be one of Piggy's best performances, ever....
The skins, textures, and shaders were weak although the modeling was very similar in quality and poly count to the Southpark version...minimal effort could have produced far more stunning results...would have taken a fair bit longer to render but I think it would have been worth it.
We had 2 months to complete this entire project. I cant remember exactly, but there were close to 180 camera angles, 8 character models, and at least 20 different environments that had to be created from scratch. The high res version is much, much cleaner, but compression being what it is kinda ruins things when you go from 300 megs to under 10. And yeah, we knock ITT too, but look at it this way, from this one project, we've been picked up by a game dev team, have countless new clients for freelance work, and are looking into attending other schools to further our education, all on full scholarship...
We did in fact use 3ds. Chris did environments and fx, Donnie created the title screens and did all editing and Derek did character models and animation. Only one scene (the rave where Neo meets Trinity) was yanked directly from film and cell shaded. Everything else is from scratch. If we had more than the two months allotted for the project, we may have gone the route of high quality textures. Instead, we opted for the cheap-o cell shading because even up to the last minutes before project submission, we were making adjustments and rendering. (estimated around 2000 work hours in 2 months) Will we be recreating this/doing a full length film/giving you an mp3 link to the break-beat at the end? No... However, yes we all received 100% credit, extra credit, gift cards, and overwhelming praise from the school. 2 of the 3 that worked on this are currently employed by the second largest military contractor in their only 3d department and pump out extraordinary work every day. Many thanks to you all for your encouragement and crits! we pick it apart too ;)

Gonzo, Beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew were the best part by far. That's the only part that really made me laugh-out-loud.

No! I'm saying that it's really good... I never learned stuff like that in my intro classes.
