I agree that someone who judges a guy by his presents is a bitch (wrong one), but ALL girls will become unhappy if affection isn't shown to them, whether it's through presents (read money), or attention.Of course, money and attention aren't transferable. You can't replace attention with money (with a good girl anyway), but even a girl who receives huge amount of attention from their other, would be sad if they aren't given quality gifts occasionally. Gifts are a sign of affection, just not the main one. Good girls would be on the low end of this though, and are less likely to be affected. There are plenty of fine girls who expect good gifts, and who also return good gifts.
A girl who agrees. Added ontop of the ethics is the economy. It's so hard to start a new life these days. Whoever buys me that ring better not spend a lot on it, when that money could go towards a house, bills, etc. Those things are more important.
