sobercircle.com — Scopolamine is a colorless, tasteless, odorless drug. It is also known as hyoscine and is classified as a tropane alkaloid. The drug can be obtained from plants in the Solanacea (nightshade) family. Most scopolamine comes from jimsome weed, or as in Columbia, borrachero trees. The plants it can be derived from are many, and abundantly available.

OMG!!! That drug is a ONCE in a lifetime experience, and by that i mean after the first time, NEVER AGAIN. I took 25 pills of Dramamine only to find out most people who abuse it only take 15. For a good 8 - 12 (i really dont have a clue) I was lost from all reality!

Datura contains scopalamine

This drug is found in many plants including Datura and Brugmansia. Both grow all over the US natively. There's some brugmansia growing near my school, and I grow a datura plant in my backyard because the flowers look awesome. The title is somewhat misleading in the sense that this drug is not recreational. The only reason people who use this is because they can't find/afford "real" recreational drugs like 'shrooms or weed. I knew a guy who sold this drug, and people bought it just because the name "jimson weed" made them think it was somehow similar to Cannabis. I've tried everything from chocolate to heroin - but I'd never touch deleriants. They are poisonous and there are too many reports on Erowid of them causing long lasting psychological problems, although I believe the drug doesn't cause permanent problems in controlled doses. Here are some other interesting things about it: * Witches used this in some of their brews and it is used with voodoo and black magic in many cultures. * This drug is used in optometry to dilate the pupils. It might have gone out of fashion now though.. * A "cure" for some of the side effects is nicotine. This is interesting because in I'd say in 8/10 experiences, the person hallucinates that they are smoking a cigarette, even if they have quit decades ago. * The article talks about MK Ultra... this drug was tried as a truth serum with no success. Actually, there are reports of the government using "BZ" a very similar, more potent version of the drug, with HILARIOUS results. <a class="user" href="http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/bz/bz_article1.shtml">http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/bz/bz_article1.sht ...</a>"[The] particular concatenations and distortions of language elements are almost impossible to imitate – they seem to result from an extreme loosening of the entire verbal associative system. As such, they may create a humorous effect, since the shift is so rapid and unpredictable that at times their remarks have the flavor of creativity and wit (the things that subjects say and do, in fact, are often very funny and it is sometimes difficult to keep from laughing at their antics, professional standards of decorum notwithstanding).""Such individuals seem unable to appreciate the reality of their deficits, and will offer ridiculous alibis and wildly implausible explanations for their failure to perform adequately in the areas affected by their intoxication. Stalling and temporizing maneuvers are common, such as asking the examiner to repeat the question, or asking for clarification of the instruction when in fact they have completely forgotten it, inquiring naively 'You mean me?' or 'Did you want me to do that right now?'."

Buried as inaccurate. Jimson weed grows everywhere in America. I have many friends who have overdosed on its seeds and become high for days. The s**t this author says is fear mongering for scared uninformed Americans. It even uses such secularizing terminology as "Colombia, DRUG CAPITOL OF THE WORLD." No, New York City is Drug Capitol of the world, you f**king assh**e.
