Have you ever been locked out of your own house or car by accident? Are you going to always have a cell phone with you?Are you going to call a locksmith for an ungodly rate? What happens if the locksmith is closed for the night?Think before you post...
Who needs bump keys when you have paper clips. I carry 2 paper clips in my back pack just incase I get locked out. It usually takes me 5 - 10 minutes to get the door open. I just adjust one paper clip to knock the pins up and use an entire paperclip to turn the lock. I actually was locked out and had to pick the lock yesterday, funny coincidence I see the article today. I learned how to pick my lock just by reading the stuff on Howstuffworks.com but this is useful information as well
This is THE work on lockpicking. It's where I learned to pick. It's thourogh and informitive. The fact that its "old" is irrelevant, because its just as valid now as ever and most conventional locks havent changed much since it was written anyway. Its a great guide, age has nothing to do with its value. To those who bitch about its age, shut the hell up.

Pardon the shameless plugging of my own very relevant digg submission and article I wrote last night but some graphic designer just made this guy a business card that basically turns into a set of lockpicks that are fully functional. Anybody know if they sell these at sporting good stores or specialty stores anywhere? I know these were commissioned but it seems like an awesome product idea.Digg Submission: http://digg.com/gadgets/Fully_Functional_Lockpick_Business_Card_Holy_crap_I_want_oneDirect Article Link: http://haltingpoint.blogspot.com/2006/09/jeni-mattsons-sweet-ass-lockpick.htmlAnd no, this isn't blogspam, just genuinely interested in finding a place to buy this friggin thing.

lock picking is not undetectable. A forensics team could determine whether a lock was picked or opened with a key.
