spectator.org — Last August, Al Qaeda terrorists in Samara made a plan to kidnap US soldiers and to make a public spectacle of their imprisonment and murder, just two weeks before General Petraeus's internationally viewed testimony on Iraq before the U.S. They sent over 40 terrorists against an isolated 4 man sniper team.

None of us want to go to war, or kill, or be killed, or leave our families behind. Deploying means putting every reason you swore in in the first place in a box, and leaving it until you get back. That said, we understand that this is a necessary fight - regardless of what Murtha and Co. say. Those with an ability to affect positive change have a responsibility to do so.

So if you had prayed earlier this would never have happened?

Sorry, I'm not negative. I just want to know why the author needed to use "black" as a description so often. I only call them as I see them. If that bothers you, then you should examine your reaction to determine why. Perhaps you didn't get enough sleep or have financial worries. It's ok.

Thanks for twisting my words. The end result, however, has nothing to do with what I said, initially.

"the greatest enemy of life and the planet" - actually would be when our nice neighborhood star, Sol - explodes. There is no coming back from an exploding star. Science says we have several million years before that would be any worry to life on Earth - if it still exists.Plankton once ruled the Planet, then Dinosaurs once ruled the planet, then Mammals and with them Humans. What makes you think Humans are the 'final answer' in Evolution?Perhaps not so long from now, intelligent insects, tool using squid, or sentient slime mold colonies will rule Planet Earth?Somehow - I just can't see Homo Sapiens as the greatest possible end result for evolution.Perhaps sentient, solar powered A.I. - intelligence that can never die - maybe these 'living machines' will become the final phase of the evolution of life.Once computers can become self-aware beings, travel to other stars and planets becomes much easier, because they won't be limited by the finite life span of meat."Flesh is a Design Flaw."
