thelinuxvault.net — The Linux Vault is a new wiki project founded with the mission of creating a centralized GNU/Linux information website. It has been just created, so we are begging everybody to take part of it and make it the place for writing guides, HOW-TO's, configurations, administration tips, tricks, tweaks or whatever else related to the GNU/Linux system.

Although, I agree, the Linux Documentation Project <a class="user" href="http://tldp.org">http://tldp.org</a> is a good resource. I don't know why someone decided *ANOTHER* Linux HOWTO site was needed. It isn't like Linux users don't already have a plethora of resources online (not to mention that there are LUGs all over the world!).

A centralized location isn't really required. Most of the time, the technical tasks are distro-specific, and since the way of working with a Debain system is different from working with a Gentoo system - it only makes sense that you would go straight to the distro's own website rather than a place that documents all the distros and sift through all the options to find what you are looking for.

"The linux wikipedia"?Linux: Too unoriginal to f**king come up with their own ideas.. ever(yes, I kid, however this idea is just lame, or am I missing something?)And, all these distros already have their own wikis, and this site seems to barely have any content. Why is this news?
